Maximilian Mann is our passionate project manager that makes all our projects come true so that our guests can indulge in unique vacation experiences. But he is not only sitting behind a desk, he is the one who takes action and welcomes guests personally to our luxury accommodations: La Finca in Mallorca and La Villa in Italy. With a background in sports and event management, he combines his love for nature with boho-chic hospitality. In this interview, he shares his experiences, the renovation process, and how he created unique, sustainable places where guests can immerse themselves in luxury and natural beauty.

Can you tell us something about yourself and your family, including names, ages, and where you live? Additionally, can you tell us the names of your accommodations?
My name is Maximilian Mann, I am 35 years old, and I live in Palma de Mallorca. I am the project manager of the Only Summer brand. We offer two luxury accommodations: La Finca in Mallorca and La Villa in Italy. Our brand also includes our own high quality furniture collection.
Would you like to tell us more about yourself? For example, about your interests, free time, work, family, and vacations?
I have always been passionate about sports and was on the verge of becoming a professional tennis player. I still play tennis, but my new passion is triathlon. I have participated in several triathlons on the island. I enjoy the natural beauty of Mallorca, especially biking in the Serra de Tramontana, swimming in the Mediterranean, and running along the coast. Mallorca has captivated me since I arrived 15 years ago.
Maximilian has participated in many triathlons, especially Ironmans, all over the island. Excelling in biking, running and in swimming, his best discipline.
When and how did this project come into your life?
Six years ago, I was approached to help to realise the Only Summer brand. The vision was to combine boho-chic furniture with the natural beauty of Mallorca and luxury hospitality to build one lifestyle. Although my background is in event management, I was excited about the challenge of creating a brand that showcases the best of Mallorca. In recent years, I have additionally completed a Master's degree in marketing and learnt a lot about how to bring Only Summer to life as a brand.

Can you tell us more about the renovation and decoration process of LA FINCA and LA VILLA?
An old farmhouse
This is how LA FINCA looked first when we bought the property …
La Finca was a step-by-step project. We started with an old, uninhabitable "casa de campo" and transformed it into a beautiful finca with seven double rooms over six years. We also added a swimming pool, a yoga platform, and a biogarden to combine luxury with a healthy lifestyle. We carefully selected high-quality furniture from various manufacturers, and over time, we adapted to our clients' wishes.
What makes your property personally special to you? Are there any special memories or moments that make it dear to you?
At La Finca, the tranquility of waking up to the sounds of birds and nature is truly special. It’s also a joy to see guests enjoying the "farm-to-table" concept, with vegetables from our biogarden and fruit from our orchard.
At La Villa, the winery and truffle hunting create unforgettable adventures. The rolling green hills of Umbria provide a sense of idyllic escape into "la dolce vita".
How would you describe the atmosphere and interior of your villas?
La Finca has a relaxed boho-chic vibe with a minimalist design. We have carefully selected decorative pieces from around the world and combined them with comfortable, high-quality furniture.
La Villa is a classic Italian villa with a similar minimalist yet luxurious approach, featuring handcrafted pieces from the Umbria region.
What part of your property do you love the most and why?
At La Finca, I love the yoga platform surrounded by hundred-year-old olive trees. It offers such tranquility; it’s the perfect place to recharge.
And at La Villa, I adore the new Degosteria, a renovated greenhouse where we host exclusive wine tastings and events. It’s a beautiful place to come together and celebrate.
What makes the location of your accommodation unique and special?
Mallorca is an iconic holiday destination, known for its beautiful mix of mountains, the Mediterranean Sea, and charming villages. The island has evolved into a luxury hub, offering everything from stunning beaches to local traditions.
Italy, especially the Umbria region, is known for its "dolce vita," with its rich history, landscapes, food, and language. It is a cultural gem that has retained its charm over the years.
Are there sustainable or eco-friendly practices associated with Only Summer’s properties that you are proud of?
Yes, sustainability is a core part of our philosophy. Both accommodations use solar panels, electrolysis for the pools, sustainable packaging, and reusable water bottles. We also produce our own organic olive oil, natural shampoo, organic honey, and soap bars. We are committed to preserving the indigenous landscape and minimizing our ecological footprint.
What motivated or inspired you to rent this property to guests?
After traveling the world for years, I noticed that there was often a choice between luxury and nature-oriented holidays. I wanted to help to create a place that combines both. By integrating nature with high-quality service in a luxuriously furnished setting, we offer a unique, relaxing experience that allows guests to recharge their body, mind, and soul.
Can you paint a vivid picture of the overall experience someone can expect during a stay at your property?
At La Finca, you wake up to the chirping of birds and the warmth of the sun, overlooking misty mountains. After a healthy breakfast with local ingredients, you can enjoy yoga under ancient olive trees or simply relax by the pool.
At La Villa, you are greeted by the tranquility of rolling green hills. You might start the day with a swim in the infinity pool, followed by a meal of handmade pasta accompanied by a glass of our rich red wine to then discover the little towns surrounding our villa. Both locations offer an escape where all your wishes are fulfilled.
How does Only Summer stand out from other accommodations? What unique features or properties make it a unique experience for guests?
What sets us apart is the combination of luxury and nature. Our own furniture collection that combines comfort with luxus. From the fresh produce from our biogarden at La Finca to the exclusive wine tastings and truffle hunts at La Villa, we integrate local, natural elements into our guests' experiences. And our new Degosteria with special events to learn more about our wines but also typical dishes of the region. Attention to detail, the privacy of our large properties, and personalized service create a unique, unforgettable experience.
