2) Beach and turquoise water

Why are the bays in Mallorca turquoise?

Due to the clear water, as it has less plankton, and the sandy beaches, the reflected light seems turquoise.

Beach and summer go hand in hand for you? Then Mallorca will let your heart jump!

As it is natural to an island, it has a lot of beaches. In fact, between 262 to decide is really difficult. Why not read our recommendation about our top 5 beaches?!

Here, we have listed the ones that are near to LA FINCA and also the ones that are a must-visit.

3) Endless mountains and nature

Hiking in the mountains is your idea of a perfect summer holiday? Then you’ll love our beautiful mountain range on the island. La Serra de Tramuntana is UNESCO world heritage and attracts hikers, visitors and cyclists alike.

Why not start of in Valldemossa, a picturesque little mountain village, where the famous pianist Chopin once resided with his family. You can read about their adventures in Chopin’s girlfriend’s (the well-known writer George Sand) travel novel called “A winter in Majorca”.

The Formentor lighthouse

This incredible scenery can be found in the north-east of the island and is a well-known visiting spot.

4) City explorer and sightseeker

Whoever prefers a cultural holiday, will be served not only in Mallorcas beaming capital Palma, but also in the little villages, archeological sites and interactive museums. The little villages in the heart of the island are well worth a visit due to lovely churches, Boheme cafés, unique shops and narrow cobbled streets. Furthermore, the islands architecture spans many centuries and history can be found in every corner.

Have you ever been to Selva?

A tiny mountain village with an amazing view over Mallorca, local restaurants and a weekly market. Once a year there can also be found its herbal market. There are many more little villages in every corner of this island that wait to be explored.

5) Coffee and delights

If you have a sweet tooth, as I do, then a nice café with amazing cakes is important during travels.

Especially, the island’s capital Palma offers many cute cafés hidden in narrow streets. You will find a coloured variety of cakes, sweets and professional coffee baristas. French, typical Mallorcan and German bakeries as well as vegan-friendly options can be explored throughout the city.

Nanø Coffee Lab

A tiny cute café with delicious coffee and vegan pastries is located near Avenida Jaume III Street in Palma. The Nanø Coffee Lab is great for a short stop after shopping down the Passeig de Borne.

If you do not want to drive all the way the island’s capital, why not hop to Inca, the town next to our LA FINCA. There you’ll find the Café del Rosario, an inviting café, where a mother and her two daughters conjure up many delights. They use our oranges and lemons from the orchard at LA FINCA and you’ll also see there our organic olive oil and our Italian wines.
